Hello there, folks! You may have already read my short bio on the sidebar of this blog, but this is the page where you get to know ALL about me. And I get to share ALL about myself. *rubs hands together eagerly*
So, we’ll start with some basic stuff. Here we go!
Basic Info
My name is Annabelle (obviously), and I am thirteen years old. I have three siblings, and I homeschool alongside them every day. I love reading and writing, and I have lots of other small hobbies.

Where I Live
I live in Traverse City, Michigan, currently, but I’ve moved countless times in my life. My family and I traveled in an RV for two years around the entire US before we moved to Michigan, so we moved like every week. That makes a lot of stops!

We started traveling in 2019. My dad quit his job in Bellevue, Washington and we sold our house and got on the road, not even knowing exactly where we were going at first. We didn’t know how long we would be in that RV or anything. We just knew that this was what God was telling us to do.

So we traveled, and I won’t go into detail of all that right now, other than the fact that we had a lot of fun being as a family together for two years and exploring areas that we had never seen before.
In the summer of 2021, my family and I traveled to Traverse City, Michigan. When we got there, we had no idea that we would actually buy a house and settle down there. It was just another vacation destination on our list. Yet we did end up settling down there, and we finally found our home.
What I Do
I love to write, read, play piano, draw, plan, play outside, and do other various things.
My main passion is writing. I am currently working on editing and publishing my first novel, Identity. I also write posts here on my blog, as well as ghostwriting for other blogs. If you’re interested in hiring me, please let me know!
I have loved to write since, well, since I found out I could. I began learning to read when I was three and finished my first chapter book when I was five. After that, my enjoyment of words grew. I finished my first story, The Big Adventure, when I was eight-years-old, and wrote various poems before then.
Now, I like to use my writing to glorify Jesus Christ. In my books, I enjoy showing His good works and telling others of His glory.
As for my other interests; Reading has always been a favorite of mine. My favorite authors are Andrew Peterson, S.D. Smith, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and others. I encourage pretty much everyone I know to read their books!
My favorite genre is probably fantasy, but I will read pretty much anything suspenseful.

About this Blog
So, I think that’s enough about me. Now, about this blog.

Hey Annabelle! Just so you know, I’ve tagged you for the Liebster Blog Tag “Award.” You can check it out here: https://therightkindofwriter.com/2022/05/23/the-liebster-award-2-times/
Thanks so much! I appreciate you letting me know!
HI, What fantasy book series would recommend? I also really like (The Wingfeather saga), so what other do you think are good?
Hi Sonya! That’s a great question. Other than the Wingfeather Saga, I highly recommend The Green Ember by S.D. Smith, the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, and the Ascendance Series by Jennifer A. Nielson.
I would also recommend checking out my 40+ Book Recommendations for Teens and Tweens post, which you can find here: https://annabelle.batie.com/40-books/
Not everything on that post is fantasy, but it’s basically a list of almost all the books I have ever read and enjoyed.
I’m curious to know how many States you’ve been to! I would love to travel in a RV sometime and visit all the lower 48. Psalm is a wonderful book of the Bible; one of my favorites as well!

Hmm… I’m not exactly sure how many states I’ve traveled to, but probably somewhere around 30. Traveling is super fun, and I’m sure if you decide to do it you would like it!
Psalm is great, I love the poetic aspect of it. 🙂
