October Review + November Goals

Well, it’s been a great month, everyone! I’ve been much more productive on my blog, on Identity, and on writing as a whole, despite the fact that I’ve been crazy busy with church events and Christmas performance rehearsals.

I don’t know about you, but I’m super excited to see what November holds! Believe it or not… Christmas is catching up to us. Isn’t that crazy? I feel like last year’s Christmas was only days ago.

So, I’ll be reviewing what I got done in October, going over my goals for November, and making some fun announcements at the end that you don’t want to miss.

October Review

Goals

As far as my goals this month, I’ve done pretty well. I finally succeeded in finishing the content edit of Identity, and now I’m in the thick of line edits.

Unfortunately, I also did not get anymore pre-orders on Identity. I’m hoping for more next month.

I did not, however, succeed in reading a book every week. I became extremely at the beginning of this month, and by the end of the month, I realized that I’d hardly read anything at all! However, I did read a couple of books this month, as I’ll mention below.

Reading

I didn’t read a lot this month, but I was, thankfully, able to get a hold of a couple of good books the last two weeks that I really enjoyed.

I read Dust and Shadow by Kara Swanson, the two books in her Heirs of Neverland series. Wow, those books were good! I may be doing a full review on them soon, so keep a look out for that! In the meantime, I can highly recommend those books to all of you.

I have also been reading/editing my friend Luella’s novel, Dawn of the Prophecy. It has been really enjoyable reading her story!

Blogging

I published six posts this month! Not quite as much as last month, but still pretty good. Here are the articles I posted recently:

And here are some cool blog statistics from the past month:

Number of Unique Visitors: 317

Total Pageviews: 749

November Goals

My goals for November mostly consist of Identity, again. I want to finish editing one chapter every day, which will hopefully allow me to finish by the beginning of December.

I also want to start an author street team for Identity… as well as put together a blog tour for its release. Keep a lookout for more announcements on that, coming soon!

Other than that, I don’t have a lot of new goals. Just finishing Identity.

Announcements

I have a couple of announcements for the coming month! Let’s get right to it!

First of all, I will now be moving back to posting once a week on Pen & Ink. I found that it was harder for me to keep up with posting twice a week in October, so for the next few months, I’m only going to post once a week. This should help free up some of my time so I can work on Identity more. Once Identity is released, I may go back to posting twice a week, we’ll see.

Also, the Editing Q&A is still open for questions! You can submit them through this form, and I will answer them in my next post. Just send me all your editing-related questions, whether that is self-editing a book, editing books for others, or anything related to the topic of editing.

Those are my only announcements for this month. Let me know what you think!
